- The BG 18 is a long cylindrical cask with in an internal tight containment, particularly suited for full scale length fuel rods - The transfer of the load under water or against a hot cell proceeds through a shielded rotating plug - The minimum hot cell channel Ø required is 240mm

- Vertical loading/unloading in pool - Dry horizontal loading/unloading by docking against hot cell wall
